ReplyDeleteYes. When I was a kid, I collected money for them so that we could all share in the job of seeing their blimp fly over the Super Bowl.

ReplyDeleteNo, something for brackets. I was surprised to see it. Maybe live people are logging in instead of computers now, then spamming away.
ReplyDeleteThat's what they were doing at SFMB for a while. Apparently it's a bunch of folks in China and India sitting in front of computers entering Captchas then spreading the spam.

ReplyDeleteTrue that. I can see it now, the interview in the Human Resources Office: "Would you please explain this next item on your resume? Just what is Word Verification Entry for Broad Scale Internet Advertising?" "Certainly. I typed in Captchas in order to place ads for erectile dysfunction products Monday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday I did the same thing for time share sales...."
