"The greasy fry, it cannot lie..."
"Quinn the Brain" premiered on MTV ten years ago today. This episode made a lot of fans think maybe Quinn could be smart. This was a massive failure to recognize sarcasm. Doctors are working on it.
As for mass failures to recognize sarcasm, I would agree. The phenomenon works at the microlevel as well. I got two instant messages from people upset at my last posted story installment. For some reason, they think I dissed gunz.
