Wine? I'd Rather Whine!

I really don't think Jane and Alison should be celebrating National Drink Wine Day. Not because Jane's underage or because it will lead to misunderstandings and awkwardness later, but because they'll end up back at Alison's place...looking at pastels.

Don't Look Now, but Kafka's Feeling Jealous!

Daria's all dolled up in her finest in honor of the anniversary of Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, which was published in the United States on this day in 1885. I absolutely get why Daria would be a Twain fan--they have the same dry sense of humor--but her strong opinions on Huckleberry Hound came as a bit of a surprise.

Also on this day in 2000, we got to see "Behind the Scenes with Daria" and, if you didn't, then I guess you're out of luck because there appear to be no clips, transcripts, or anything like that. Can anyone point me to anything more substantial than the occasional online reference?

These two images were posted here before, but not in such high quality. Thanks to UU for his help with the alien images of late. Use them in your stories as you like.

Ten years ago, MTV aired a special program called, "Behind the Scenes with Daria." It's one of the few Daria programs of which nothing remains: no script, no photos, nothing. We hope the program will appear on the DVD set in May.

Way Back When

Ten years ago this evening, MTV aired a special called "Behind the Scenes with Daria." You can find mention of it in various places, like this one. I've never had the chance to see it and was wondering if anyone else has. This sounds like it would be a great extra to add to a DVD release of Daria. Was anything presented that would be of special interest to us today?

Speaking of DVDaria, no news. Look at how sad Daria is, another year and no DVD. How can they hurt her so? Poor sad Daria.

I figured nothing else has worked till now, may as well try guilt.
