That Goth

Happy birthday to Marlo Thomas, born on this day in 1937 and portrayed reluctantly by Andrea on the right. I mean, you can feel the disdain rolling off that image, can't you?

Today is also False Confession Day, so why not confess to a crime you didn't commit? Oh, right--because of the jail time. Well, we can always confess to murdering Kevin Thompson. All the cool kids were doing it!

Fanfic Update!
  • Looking Her Best (IronChef: Val's Wrinkles), by Shiva (COMPLETE!): "'Out damn wrinkles, out I say!' Val snarled at her reflection, the elaborate mix of face creams having just been wiped away."

  • Mega Mall Mega Problems, by cfardell_Brenorenz29 (part 3): "Ronnie wasn’t that surprised when the teacher called her to her desk. 'Yes, Miss Lane?'"

  • The Musician's Daughter, by wilddogjj (part 2): "In Middleton was a dive bar called "Wackjob's" that was a popular hangout with the students at Middleton College. It was Friday night and the place was packed. On stage were Trent, Jessie, Max and Nick. Trent walked up to the microphone."

If you think about it "That Girl" kind of paved the way for "Daria". I also liked her performance in "It Happened One Christmas" (which is essentially a feminist retelling of "It's a Wonderful Life". I also have to give her props for being married to Phil Donahue, supporting St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (founded by her father Danny) and for getting the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
