Is It Possible to Erase an Entire Pencil?
Upchuck seems happy enough about National Pencil Day, but just wait until someone gets tired of his innuendo and sticks him in the pencil sharpener. If Daria should find herself in need of a pencil today, she should be wary of who she borrows from...the last thing she needs is for Kevin to get another wrong impression about her.
Jane and Ted, meanwhile, will be pleased to know that today is the anniversary of the births of both Vincent van Gogh in 1853 and Francisco de Goya (of whom Ted is a fan) in 1746. Jane can even do another topsy-turvy Starry Night if she isn't too traumatized by her copying days.
Daria would likely prefer to stick with words over pictures, and seeing as today is the anniversary of Anna Sewell's birth in 1820, she could celebrate by re-reading Black Beauty. It was one of her childhood favorites, although it might bring back some unpleasant memories. Hopefully she still has that refrigerator box.
