On this day in 1981, Donkey Kong was released in the United States. For my generation, this led to countless wasted hours, a whole lot of carpal tunnel syndrome, and a mysterious dread of barrels.The alter ego on the right is technically King Kong, not Donkey Kong, but it was too good to pass up.
