This is Red Rose Day, the origin of which is not known but it still sells a lot of roses. Flower industry, maybe. Perhaps it is not coincidental that this is also Loving Day, the origin of which is most definitely known and highly appreciated. It is also Russia Day, and Russians are said to be fond of the color red, so it all works out.

The TGIF Tiger!

Today is not just Friday. It's also Russia Day! Hooray! And it's also Loving Day, hooray! And it's Friday.... oh, right.

So, why is there a tiger here? Well, I didn't want to run that picture of Daria in Moscow again since it's already on this page, far down on the left, so I'm making this a Siberian tiger. It's for Russia Day. Of course, because Daria did not have interracial couples Jane/Mack there are no images to use for Loving Day, and... okay, it's lame, it was the best I could do. Yes, today is Russia Day! Our Heroine, Товарищ Дарья, is shown here on tour in Moscow's Red Square wearing a snazzy shapka-ushanka (thanks, UU). While exploring the Kremlin, Дарья gets to use her favorite travel phrases: "Оставьте меня в покое!" ("Will you be my friend?") and "Моё судно на воздушной подушке полно угрей!" ("This is a vacation I will always remember!").
