Who Ya Gonna Call?

It seems that a new Ghostbusters team has assembled just in time for National Ghost Hunting Day, and I hope they start by taking care of Tommy Sherman's ghost in the girls' bathroom. I gotta admit, I kind of want to read a fanfic of Mack, Kevin, Trent, and Upchuck hunting ghosts. Anyone willing to write it?

Since today is also National Hunting and Fishing Day, I hope no one feels like they have to limit themselves to hunting the spirits of the dead. I have to wonder, if you capture the ghost of a fish, does that mean you're a ghost fisher?

If you think that question was dumb, then that's good because it's Ask a Stupid Question Day! I should probably leave that kind of thing to professionals like Kevin and Brittany, though, because it's about the only thing they're good at.

I Bet It's Really Just Old Man Withers in a Costume!

I think Daria is hoping someone will show up to help her observe National Ghost Hunting Day, especially if they take care of the problem before Mrs. Sullivan starts telling her about her enema. On the bright side, Daria's actually getting off lucky here. She could have been haunted by the ghost of Tommy Sherman, and no one wants that.

Once all of the ghosts have been hunted down and, I don't know, released into the wild somewhere, the Morgendorffers should celebrate Family Health and Fitness Day with a nice group power-walk. Jane can even come along if she feels like getting grilled about Daria's personal life again. Just remember, Jake, you're power-walking and not walking for power.

Hamlet's not the only thing that has a skull in it

Halloween has been quiet so far here. It finished raining and there's nothing to do but wait for kids to come by this evening, if it's not too cool out. May as well post here to pass the time.

The Facebook Daria page is moving along quickly. Mostly just short bits posted by fans, but fun to read, like popcorn is fun to eat. Not a lot else going on elsewhere. SFMB is pretty dead except for political chat. FF.net has some updates, most of them PPMB stories. DariaWiki has had a lot of work done on it lately by Richard Lobinske, Disco316, Doggieboy, Brother Grimace, JPAGC, Vlademir1, and a host of others. Thank you all!

The bad news is that the loss of GeoCities sites dealt the fandom a real blow. We should watch the news for similar announcements of the closure of web-hosting services, particularly the free ones, and save all we can.
