Hot as Helen

I guess Helen likes her toasted marshmallows very well done, but that's fine because it's National S'mores Day and every marshmallow tastes great if you add enough chocolate to it! Just maybe put out the fire before you eat it.

The only problem is that toasting the marshmallow and assembling the s'more is a lot of work, especially for Lazy Day. Trent probably considers this his favorite holiday, although I'm sure he sleeps through it every year.

There won't be any laziness for the Lawndale High Football team, particularly because it's World Lion Day and the Lions can't let down their school! Although they do let it down pretty regularly, like when Kevin hurt his knee and quit the team or purposely blew a play for an assignment or...wait, are we sure Kevin is an asset to the team?

How Toasty Do You Like Your Marshmallows?

Helen's taking National S'mores Day to a bit of an extreme, but maybe she likes hers extra crispy. Whether you use a campfire, a microwave, or just breathe fire, enjoy a sweet treat of your own...but don't work too hard at it--today is also Lazy Day. Take a page out of Daria's fantasy versions of Jake and Helen and "just kick back and chill."

Fanfic Update!
  • Bearing the Summer, by Lady Evil (part 2): "'Guess who's back, guess who's back? Guess who's back? Wooo!' Link sang, swinging his soda cup around."

  • Esteem of the Transfer Student, by cfardell_Brenorenz29 (part 1): "Brittany Taylor arrived at Lawndale High as she usually did, with her stepmother, Ashley-Amber dropping her off."

Burn, Baby, Burn

Daria's got the campfire all ready, so let's prepare some tasty treats for National S'mores Day! I'll take mine with extra chocolate, please.

Today is also Lazy Day, and I can guarantee you that Trent is celebrating. Or at least, he will once he wakes up.

Toast 'Em Up!

Daria invites everyone to join her around the campfire for National S'mores Day, although the story she's telling might ruin your appetite. Not me, though. Bring on the chocolatey goodness!

  • ASPS 2, by PrecambrianStudios (part 20): "'What the hell are you doing?' barked Carlton Daniels. Sitting at her usual spot in the journalism classroom, Zoey flinched at the crack of his voice and looked up from her computer in fright, her hands flying away from the keyboard. 'N-nothing,' she squeaked."

  • The Claws of the Cat (Daria and the Gang Thread), by Roentgen (COMPLETE!): "Stacy took one last look at her costume. It was great! It looked just like the Catwoman costume from Batman: The Animated Series. It would be the hit of Lawndale-Comic-Con!"

Tasty Chocolate-Marshmallow-Graham Cracker Goodness!

Happy National S'mores Day! Helen's going to have hers a bit on the crispy side, but I prefer mine just a little brown and melty. How do you like your s'mores?

Chocolate Lovers, Start Your Engines!

Yes, today is a big day in Chocolate History, as we are reminded by Mrs. Johanssen (this is the correct spelling of her name, by the way). Today is the 195th anniversary of the birth of Henri Nestlé, one of the co-inventors of milk chocolate and the first head of the company that makes so much chocolate. You know what to do to celebrate: eat 195 chocolate anythings. Get going.

Once you are done with that, it is also National S'mores Day. Celebration is mandatory. Do it to it.

Daria-ish stuff to come, eventually.
