Viva Mack!

Mack looks especially defiant in honor of the anniversary of Che Guevara's birth on this day in 1928. I don't know what specific causes Mack might want to organize a rebellion over, but if Ms. Barch tries to oppress him again he's definitely going to rise up.

If anyone is celebrating Flag Day today, please try to remember the colors as well as you can. No, Kevin, green is not one of them. If you have any difficulty, talk to Mrs. Stoller and I'll sure she'll be able to help in a very condescending tone.

You know, if you're going to be treated like a kindergartner then you might as well act like it and goof off for Monkey Around Day! Jane might think back fondly to the tricycle-riding chimp at her fourth birthday party, while Kevin can wax poetic about how lenient Charles Darwin was with Curious George.

Marxists and Monkeys

Today is the anniversary of the birth of the late revolutionary Che Guevara, and Mack is keeping that spirit alive. Of course, Mack is probably rebelling against Kevin calling him "Mack Daddy" or "Bro," but it's still a worthy cause.

Today is also Monkey Around Day, which Kevin will be pleased about. He likes monkeys, especially the one who hangs out with the man in the yellow hat.

Mack's in a revolutionary mood for the anniversary of Che Guevara's birth in 1928. It's a cool-looking alter ego, but I'm not sure a boy who can't even convince Kevin to stop calling him annoying nicknames is really the best candidate for fighting social justice on a global level. Still, I can think of worse characters to take on the role.

Mack's feeling very revolutionary because today is the anniversary of the birth of Che Guevara in 1928. Never mind overthrowing governments, though--I think he's just rebelling against the nickname "Mack Daddy." Or should that be "rebellent"?

Why the MTV artists decided to have Mack Mackenzie pose as the Communist revolutionary Che Guevara, I have no idea. Today would have been Che's 80th birthday, but that didn't work out (bang). Know what? I bet if Daria poked through the attic she'd find an old Che poster from the late 1960s that her dad used to own. You know Helen and Jake must have worshiped Che while they were at Middleton College, for a little while anyway. What do you think Daria would think of that?

More importantly, today is the 166th anniversary of the day Alfred, Lord Tennyson published a book called Poems, among which was the poem "Ulysses," which served as one of the inspirations for this fanfic.
