On this day in 1876, Alexander Graham Bell received a patent for the telephone. This is a red-letter day for both Helen and Quinn Morgendorffer, both of whom owe much--including their frequent lack of sanity--to the invention.But what if the telephone had never been invented? Would we have seen Helen discussing cases with Eric via smoke signals? Would Quinn have planned all of her dates by tapping them out in Morse Code? The possibilities are endless!
