On this day in 1959, the first Barbie was launched on an unsuspecting public. It's hard to say who likely has the bigger wardrobe between Quinn and the doll she's impersonating, but let's hope Quinn is able to hold down a single job better than Barbie is.Today is also the anniversary of the first airing of the episode "I Don't," in which we got to meet Aunt Amy, get a deeper perspective on Helen's family issues, and see a handful of truly irritating characters--among them the pervy minister, the caustic dress shop employee, and the oh-so-delightful Brian Danielson.
