Holy Daria on a Bike!

Daria's got the right idea, not only because she's on a bike for Bike to School Day but also because she opted for pants instead of a skirt while riding that bike. I mean, you never know when Upchuck might be lurking, you know?

This is also Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican holiday celebrated widely by Americans, many of whom don't know anything about the holiday aside from the drinking involved. You just know that Kevin's super into this one.

Comic Books and Cocktails

Here we see a rare image of Kevin reading something, but only because today is Free Comic Book Day. Knowing Kevin, though, he probably paid for that comic book.

Today is also Cinco de Mayo, which--like St. Patrick's Day--is apparently only a big deal in the United States because it's an excuse to drink heavily. So today is really just another typical day for Kevin all around, I guess.

Cinco de Feisty!

Hey everyone! It's Cinco de Mayo! Also known as the Fifth of May! It's a holiday that, in Mexico, commemorates The Battle of Puebla. In the U.S., it's mostly an excuse to drink a lot. Like most holidays, really.

Still, any holiday that offers us the opportunity to beat the stuffing (literally) out of Upchuck is okay by me.

Today is also Free Comic Book Day, so those of you who are still sober today can go get your geek on! Kevin's already called dibs on the Ratboy books, so hands off.

A Feisty Holiday and an Ugly Piñata!

It's Cinco de Mayo, which I'm reliably informed has nothing to do with mayonnaise but instead commemorates Mexico's victory in the Battle of Puebla. It is apparently more popular in the United States than in Mexico, though, possibly because of the American tradition of taking any excuse to drink a lot.

Never mind the liquor, though. Upchuck's been leering at me just a little too long. Pass me the stick, please.

Why Does Upchuck Look So Natural as a Piñata?

Once again it's Cinco de Mayo, which does not mean "Put the mayonnaise in the sink." The Fifth of May is good for doing all kinds of things that involve eating Mexican food, which is my favorite sort of food. If you are of the drinking persuasion, you may do so. Just be careful. Party hard and remember your history. (Thanks to Pinhead for the image.)

Oh, and Karl Marx is 192 years old today. Jake would remember him, if no one else does. (He got a copy of Das Kapital from Helen in that wedding anniversary flashback in "Sappy Anniversary.")
