Loose Lips Really Do Sink Ships!

Today was a very special day for the animation staff at MTV, and they drew a picture to honor it. It is Neptunalia, but that was mentioned here last year. It is National Vanilla Ice Cream Day, but if it isn't chocolate I don't want to know about it. And it's...

MONICA LEWINSKY'S 36th BIRTHDAY!

The alter ego at left is based upon news footage showing then-President Clinton hugging Ms. Lewinsky, a good deal of which appears in this humorous video on YouTube. (Notice that once again, the MTV artists used a very specific event and image for an alter ego. A picky lot, I must say.)

Two more opportunities for trouble on PPMB: Iron Chef: The Conservative View, and Scenes No Daria Fanfic Should Have: Hump Day. Do your worst. I mean, best.

Lewinsky.... Hump Day... coincidence? I think not. What would be the Conservative View on that, I wonder?

PPMB
  • Apocalyptic Daria: Scarlett's Tale, by Doggieboy (Part 11): Scarlett’s sleep wasn’t exactly comfortable; she wasn’t used to sleeping on a couch, next to a man she had met not even twenty-four hours before. The redhead opened her eyes, blinked several times and moved a lock of hair away from her eyes. She thought over the events she had been through and looked at the man who snored beside her. His left hand rested on her right thigh. (FF.net) (SFMB)
  • Belated, by thatLONERchick (COMPLETE!): Daria searched through the web links, the dim light from her computer screen reflected in the thick lenses of her glasses. She was frowning, and the creases at the corners of her mouth deepened as she went through another page of results. Nothing. Thirteen pages and nearly one hundred and fifty results and nothing.
  • Falling into College 69: Two Intents, by Richard Lobinske (Part 1): Michael said, "I decided to spend the time with you drama queens." "You need some excitement in your life," Clarice replied.
  • Iron Chef: Daria Is Raven's Apprentice, by Project Pegasus (continued): "I made a funny." "Not quite."
  • Lawndale's Finest, Detective Stories 3: The Line of Duty, by Lorenzo Sauchelli (COMPLETE!): "Joker hijacked my car. We chatted for a bit. The maniac killed a dozen people while at it. And it was him, Jim, Ruttheimer's son.”

  • Our Friend Daria, by Roentgen, a.k.a. CINCGREEN (prequel): I didn't much look forward to living in Lawndale, but my wife was desperate to get out of her telecommunications job in Nashville.
