It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Spending, Everywhere You Go

Not many shopping days left for whatever December holiday you plan to celebrate. I did almost all of my shopping through Amazon.com. Never left the house.

It was about this time of year that "Like Father, Like-" took place. Cold.

Will think of more exciting things as soon as I wake up.

LATE ADD: It is now 10 days until Christmas, but only a week until Hanukkah and Yule. If you ain't done your shoppin' yet, you are this close to FAILURE.

Today is Bill of Rights Day, so declared by FDR in 1941, and to mark that occasion you can read a fanfic from nine years ago with a related theme. If you can think of any other Daria fics about civil rights, name them in the Comments section.

The only one that immediately comes to mind is one in TLAS, in which everybody starts wearing clothing adorned with the other F-word.

Oh! Also, in Gone, young Helen is preparing an essay on civil rights, which she unfortunately never gets a chance to read.

There was a story about Daria being jailed after a protest in college against the war in Iraq, I think, and she fell victim to the Patriot Act, but I don't know where the story is or went.
