Constitution Day—What Kind of Holiday Island Kid Is That?

Today marks the 221st anniversary of the ratification of the Constitution of the United States of America. It is thus known as Constitution Day. Did you ever wonder about this kid in Holiday Island High? Me, neither.

Also, Boston was founded 378 years ago today just so that Daria and Jane could go to college there.

I have more, but it will have to wait. Party on!

Constitution Day is probably rivals with Independence Day.

I'm a great fan of your blog. I don't do fan-fic, but Daria and her cronies, as well as Beavis and Butthead, do have the dubious honor of having been sucked into the Netherworld, which is the setting for the misadventures of everyone from the best to the worst, whomever I see fit to goof on at a given moment.
If you would like to see what happened to Daria in my world, click here. In brief, she got together with Trent one night after getting completely smashed at a kegger, got pregnant, and they are happily married with twins. She has a doctorate in DNA manipulation and works with the Netherworld's Ill-Health minister, Dr. Schitz. Dr. Schitz really depends on Daria so that things like this don't happen.
I'm certainly not going to get geeked out if someone else's reality for Daria is different than what I envision. I just have her in my world because I like her! Which means that she's fair game for any insanity that I may envision at the time. But I do try to make sure that it all turns out o.k. in the end.

Certainly no worse that what we've done to her. :)

They gave out little booklets of the Constitution at school today. I now have a copy of the Constitution in my handbag. I feel so...patriotic and stuff!

I would think Constitution Day would be really jealous of all the attention Independence Day gets. "The Constitution was more important in the long run than that stupid Declaration of In-My-Pants!"
