According to C.E. Forman's "Fireworks," it was 40 years ago today that Jake Morgendorffer met Helen Barksdale at Middleton College. What a wacky couple of kids they were, and look at them now. Some people never change.As a side note, it was not-sure-how-many-years-ago today, according to the Falling Into College series by Richard Lobinske, that Amy Barksdale tied the knot in the "wedding of the year" with a little help from Brother Grimace. September's just that kind of month, I guess.
