Your AIM Is Bad, If IRC
Lawndale Online reminds all Daria chat-loving people that AIM is not longer used for online chat, and IRC is used instead. See this page for details on how to do it.
The only thing I don't know is whether the chat people have a set time when they start chatting, or what. If you happen to know, post a note here. Thanks.
That's all. Let's move along, please, nothing more to see here.

Well, that IRC channel happens to be the only one currently running (apart from Sunday chats with the Padre), and is semi-private. I say that because it has this policy, from the page you linked at Lawndale Online:
"Except in cases of outright disruption of the chat (flooding, etc.), an op should never make the decision to ban on his/her own."
That, to me, ought to end with "ban." It apparently has a "vote them off the island" procedure, to enforce personal whims or gripes. I don't see that as being justified for any chat venue that considers itself an open forum.
