"And everyone else is full of, full of, full of . . ."

If you wish to probe the plot and characterizations of "Pinch Sitter," which aired 11 years ago today, you might also wish to read CINCGREEN's review of it on the original Daria Fandom Blog. Many intriguing points to consider there.

I always thought a ringbearer was either a hobbit or a small kid with a pillow at a wedding. I was apparently misinformed. Brother Grimace has clarified the Ringbearer issue on DariaWiki. Who are their enemies again?

Want to see Daria as Raven of the Teen Titans? If you like the pic, tell Ranger Thorne about it.

How did Darius react when he first saw Jane Lane? Acidgirl gives us the big picture ("Meeting Jane" in GIF). Will a John Lane-meets-Daria pic be far behind?

FF.net
  • A Little Problem, by Smileyfax (Part 2): In which we hear Jane's immortal words: "Oh, Daria, you're already hung!"

PPMB
  • Avenging, by Lorenzo Sauchelli (Parts 4 and 5): Tom Sloane's suckiest day ever, more or less. And Daria learns about the black helicopters.
  • Career Change, by Doggieboy (COMPLETE!): A look into the lives of the characters in "A Little Vacation" and "The Cynic and the Defender."
  • Common People, by NightGoblyn (COMPLETE!): Ow ouch ouch ow ouch OW OW OW!!! That was so nice.
  • Daria: Grendel Reborn, by Grifter74 (Part 1): Daria has unusual aspirations in this universe, and they've made her anything but lazy.
  • John Lane 35: Give Me a C!, by Richard Lobinske (Part 3): Daria was right when she said, "The universe hates us." That's the whole point of fanfic, isn't it?
  • Stacy Rowe, Seeker (Part II), by jtranser (continued): Whoa. OMG. What in the name of all the Tsars just happened here?

Let's just say that the circle begins to close. But not without some surprises along the way....

I'm just sayin', y'know, like, whoa.

She's not going to beat up on a Ringbearer, is she? :)

Close. The Sloanes get involved in a serious way..

But what about . . . THE COUNCIL OF TRENT?

The next fic will take place in the world of dreams. It'll include Daria's favorite cat, Casbain (from Ulthar), Night Buffalo of the Pawnee, and a spirit animal, of course...

...or I could do something else

I should write something about Jake's spirit animal. Poor thing.

I still have to set Stacy on her path to destiny. The Kastmanites deem her worthy of their special worship. In short, she is the Chosen Ship...

The Kastmanites. Were those the donut people?

The Kastmanites initially worshipped rockets and missiles as described on the first page of Stacy Rowe, Seeker, Part I. Over time, they began to sense the presence of the biocongruent living space ships on a subconscious level. They adjusted their worship to include the coming of the Chosen Ship which would unite them in the ecstatic journey to the center of the galaxy. Stacy becomes the Chosen Ship...

Ohhhh. Ringbearers.... I thought you meant Ringwraiths.....I need to readjust my meds again...

Further on the Kastmanites: The sect did eventually divide over The Prophecy of the Chosen Ship, with a large number adhering strictly to the original missile and rocket worship. In time they were outnumbered by The Followers Of The New Prophecy, also known as 'Shippers'...

'Shippers? Does this mean they're going to have Stacy go on dates with the U.S.S. Enterprise?

"You know, Quinn, I kinda like that U.S.S. Nimitz. He's really nice...and He's got a cute flight deck" "I don't know, Stacy. I thought you were going with the Enterprise." "I was, but he doesn't handle night landings very well..."

I meant the Star Trek ship, not the U.S. Navy one. Lemme think . . . Fireball XL-5 has that blatant phallic shape, Heart of Gold is too unpredictable, she's gonna have to go with the Enterprise or the Galactica, whichever one has the best drives.

"So Stacy, how did your date with Space Battleship Yamato go?", asked Quinn. Sandi looked up, smirked and said: "Yeah, Stacy, did you check out his main gun?" "Sandi!" "See, Quinn, I told you giant living space ships could blush..."
