Yo, Mom! It's Your Day!
No one has yet written a great Mothers Day story making use of the alter ego at left. Alas.
Happy Mothers Day to one and all. More news to come, have to do Mothers Day stuff here, hope you understand. Remember Helen Morgendorffer's great moment as a mom? What a gal.
What was your favorite Daria fanfic about motherhood? Name the best in Comments and share with everyone.
A possible route for Daria releases? Maybe, maybe not.

Okay, I'll start off. Richard Lobinske has three excellent portraits of motherhood in his fanfic. Helen Morgendorffer has been outstanding throughout the Falling into College series, from making partner (and realizing the cost) to her stroke and recovery (and beyond). Daria was an amazing mother to alien children in the Mother's Love series. And there's Daria in "Accidental Future," great stuff.
Kara Wild did a great job with Helen in her DWU series, drawing out her inner life and the collapse of her marriage. The difficulties Helen has with being a mother are also well explored.
More from me later.
Hey, that's Tiffany as the Octo-Mom!
Talk about your wonky fertility treatments...
Judging from what it took to get to motherhood and how they handled it, Jane and Daria from Pause in The Air will probably be amazing moms... especially Jane...
(You may take that as a pitchfork!!!)
And, consequently, today is the 10-year anniversary of "The Tie That Chokes," the beginning of Helen's long, difficult journey toward... not being crazy.
Hmm, it's kind of like "Jon and Kate Plus Eight", isn't it? Right down to the Asian babies. I wouldn't be able to write such a story, as I've no desire to have even ONE kid and I'd write it as pure, unadulterated HELL. (Which isn't a popular viewpoint.)

Actually, Daria fandom has lots of room for unadulterated HELL. Glad to see ya!
