How Daria Studies for French Tests

Animated hero Tintin is 91 years old today, but doesn't look a day over young-something. Daria Morgendorffer reads Tintin, according to The Daria Diaries ("Study for French test: Read Tintin comics"). That was stupid, wasn't it? Tintin's Belgian, so he speaks Belgian, not French! Daria's such a moron sometimes.

Historian Lord Acton was born this day 176 years ago. He is best known for his dictum about power and corruption, a saying that made its way into a Daria fanfic.

Is that some joke?
Tintin's written in french!
Plus, there's multiple languages you can speak in Belgium.

That's what they'd like you to think. It doesn't matter if you're a tourist in Liege, Brussels or Antwerp, they'll only speak French or Flemish when you're around, but the moment you go away, they'll speak the true language of Belgium, which is BELGE. So you were right, TAG.

You're excused.

Actually, I've strenghten a lot of my french knowledge and vucabulary by reading the enormous amont of french-belgian comics that were on my parent'shouse when I was studying at school.

However, I must add that actually passing in the school tests requiered actually studying and not just taking the easy way out.

Of course Belge is different from french. They (Belgians) have some slightly different words thas us (french). Like saying "septante" instead of "soixante-dix".
Usually they're far more logical than us.
You could says the same about french canadians or swiss. Or the people from Brittany (ha ha ha).
