It's Houseplant Appreciation Day, so you'd better show your plants that you appreciate them! Daria doesn't recommend reading to them in a deadpan voice, but they might enjoy being watered instead.
Today is also Peculiar People Day, which covers about 90 percent of the cast of Daria. Not to mention a significant portion of the fandom, too.
