YEEE-HAAAW!!! WE HAVE A WINNER!!!


Yes, dear friends, it was exactly thirty years ago that the last Triple Crown winner, Affirmed, crossed the finish line at the Belmont Stakes, triumphing over another superhorse, Alydar, with whom Affirmed had competed neck-and-neck in many races. Alydar came in second in all three Triple Crown races in 1978.
