The last in the series of possible patrilineal ancestors for Sandi Griffin is a very unusual one: Eric Griffin, better known as "Bullwhip" Griffin, from the Walt Disney movie of the same name. Once a Bostonian butler, Bullwhip joined the California Gold Rush and became rich and (on a smaller, more local scale) famous. His (fictional) story is described elsewhere, but part of it includes a hunt for a treasure map. Did Bullwhip leave behind his own map to secret riches, which Sandi discovers among her father's papers one Saturday afternoon?The movie, by the way, is a lot of fun. A wacky minor legend worthy of being Sandi's ancestor.
