Happy birthday to Marlo Thomas, born on this day in 1937 and portrayed reluctantly by Andrea on the right. I mean, you can feel the disdain rolling off that image, can't you?
Today is also False Confession Day, so why not confess to a crime you didn't commit? Oh, right--because of the jail time. Well, we can always confess to murdering Kevin Thompson. All the cool kids were doing it!

If you think about it "That Girl" kind of paved the way for "Daria". I also liked her performance in "It Happened One Christmas" (which is essentially a feminist retelling of "It's a Wonderful Life". I also have to give her props for being married to Phil Donahue, supporting St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (founded by her father Danny) and for getting the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
