On this day in 1818, the U.S. Flag had a
bit of an upgrade. Instead of adding both a star and a stripe for each state, the stripes would remain at thirteen and only stars would be added. This is the current procedure for the flag, and it's a good thing. Fifty stripes would be very hard to cram in, especially for someone like Tiffany. Do we even know for sure if that girl can count past three?
In a sadder anniversary, it was on this day in 1968 that
Martin Luther King, Jr., was assassinated. The world lost a great man, but his legacy has continued on. Rest in peace, Dr. King.
