No, Dog! Bad!

Stacy's not doing a very good job celebrating Sun Screen Day, because look at those tan lines! Of course, I could easily see the Fashion Club going for the lowest possible SPF to ensure they get a nice crispy tan in the summer. Who cares about UV rays and skin cancer, anyway?

"Always wear your sunscreen!"

Stacy's showing off some dramatic tan lines this year in time for Sun Screen Day, and after her experience at the nursing home Brittany is unlikely to ever forget hers. If you run out, like Quinn did, just head over to Payday and pick up a few gallons. Andrea can point you to the right aisle if you need help.

You'll definitely want to lather up if you decide to watch the Indianapolis 500, which is happening today. Stacy might even pull herself away from that too-friendly dog and join in the race, if her post-IICY? credit alter ego is anything to go by.

"...Always wear your sunscreen!"

Looks like Stacy forgot it was Sun Screen Day, or else Quinn forgot to bring enough for the whole Fashion Club again. Either way, she's definitely not going to earn Sandi's approval for this little faux pas.

Fanfic Update!
  • Cynic and a Six-String, by fringeperson (part 15): "Neither of the two friends were quite sure how it happened, but the ability Mr O'Neill had to hear whatever he wanted in whatever you were saying was surely to blame."

  • What If The Storm Killed Them?, by The Madi Hatter (part 2): "Daria opened her eyes slowly reveling a white room with a faint smell of bleach. Still groggy from waking up from however long she was asleep she started to gain memory of what had last happened"

"Always wear your sun screen!"

Don't make the same mistake Stacy did: wear some sun screen if you go out, because today is Sun Screen Day! Remember Brittany's post-volunteering public service announcement, and avoid those wrinkles!

Of course, sun screen won't help you if you run into Judith, who made her debut in Erin Mills's "Judith Strikes" shared-world series five years ago today.

Fandom News!
In blog-related news, I'll be leaving on vacation tomorrow and will have limited to no internet access for most of the trip. Instead of fandom updates during that time, I've scheduled a special series of blog posts that may or may not be entertaining. If you don't like them, too bad--I'll be on vacation!

"Unless you WANT us to get wrinkles."

Today is Sunscreen Protection Day, and as Brittany reminds us in "The Old and the Beautiful," "Always wear your sunscreen." Good advice, Brittany. Stacy's making an appearance as the Coppertone girl, and Sandi's going to kill her as soon as she hears about this wardrobe malfunction.

Summer Begins with a Full Moon!

Stacy "Coppertone Girl" Rowe is our mascot today, so to speak, because this is the day of the Summer Solstice and there's a full moon out, besides. Seriously. Go out and look if you don't believe me. Also, in countries south of the equator, today is the Winter Solstice, as in the southern hemisphere everything happens counterclockwise and upside down. Stacy's butt, for example, would be seen as upside down in Australia.

A "pop quiz" feature is now available on the Daria Fan Club. ClarissaRules has posted some quiz questions. Try it out. I think we could post some tough ones, too.

JPAGC offers a very evil Jane for the "Evil Jane" Iron Chef. Not to be outdone, NightGoblyn adds a sequel to an earlier tale in this IC.

The complete Avengers from Lawndale team is shown in a nice grouping by Lorenzo Sauchelli for his "Avenging" piece.
