So...Yeah.

Not much appears to be going on today--no anniversaries or no wacky holidays connected to Daria or fandom, no episodes aired on this day, no one was born who was referenced on the show. Nothing. Unless anyone out there knows of something I missed.

Otherwise, what's going on with you guys? Anything you want to talk about, either in the comments or in a new blog post?

Tom and Tolkien

Today being the birthday of J. R. R. Tolkien, I decided to present an alter ego of Tom Sloane as one of the great and terrifying Trolls of Mordor, from The Lord of the Rings. Trolls were feared for their enormous height and great strength, and if you rubbed their colorful hair you could make a wish but nothing would happen except the Troll would eat you. Note that this is also the only alter ego of Tom in which he is completely naked. Now I can understand why Daria wasn't exactly thrilled to sleep with him in season five.

As pointed out earlier, the list of 2008 Daria Written Fanworks is complete. Check it for errors, then nominate for the big one!

Helen Morgendorffer has been accused of many things, but this one has to be the strangest accusation of them all! Thanks, ninetwelve.

A Very Strange Thing . . .

While searching the Web for more Daria sites, I discovered an attractive Daria message board at http://www.dariaonline.com/forum/ but found it was closed to new members. Out of curiosity I tried the address http://www.dariaonline.com/ and discovered that each time you click on it, it randomly shunts the user to a wide variety of Daria current websites, including a few that have gone offline or have moved to new addresses (e.g., Glitter Berries).

Anyone know anything at all about this? How very weird.
