Daria, Tad, and Tom don't seem particularly interested in the parade, but that's just because it's nothing compared to the usual celebrations you'd see today for Mardi Gras. Of course, these aren't usual times, so maybe a scaled-down version is better anyway.
Today is also the anniversary of the episode "Arts 'N Crass," which aired on this day in 1998. It was the first episode of the second season, and followed the Daria Day marathon, which gave us all kinds of fun behind-the-scenes insights.
