Calleth Me Not "Mack Daddy"!

Although Mack has clearly mastered the art of dressing like Shakespeare, it remains to be seen if he'll be celebrating Talk Like Shakespeare Day as well. At least he can't do much worse than Kevin did, with or without a skull. Even Jamie managed to get the words right, even if his inflection needed work.

I see that Mack is also observing World Book Day, and I have no doubt that Daria will be doing the same thing no matter where she is. Feel free to join in, Shakespeare or otherwise.

If you're more in the mood for a multimedia experience, you could enjoy Movie Theatre Day instead. After all, in Daria's words, "Let's face it. Most people would rather watch a movie than read a book. It's fast, it's easy, and you don't have to worry about your lips moving." Bonus points for watching a Shakespeare adaptation!

Rah, Rah, RAWR!

Brittany is daring anyone who's brave enough to just try to celebrate Slay a Dragon Day. I'd advise against it, though, because she can be vicious even when she isn't a fifty-foot-tall fire-breathing monster.

Everyone would be better off heading to the "cinema" for Movie Theatre Day instead, and you can even bring vegetables to throw at the screen if you want! If Jake is there, please tell him that "the crow flies at midnight." Or was it "the pigeons are at rest"?

On second thought, perhaps it would be safer to just stay home and enjoy World Book Day. I know that's what Daria would do, and I happen to think it's a great idea.

Jodie's film about the supermarket strike might have gotten a mention as well, although whether the award is for best documentary or best fight choreography is anyone's guess. While we all wait to see if the latest Weepy Mr. B sequel got an award, let's check in with the latest...

Babysitting in a Pinch

Thirteen years ago today, "Pinch Sitter" made its MTV debut. We learn a little about Jane's past, Daria's past, and weird families who seem to have come from outer space. And we saw Daria in pigtails. That was fun. My favorite line: "Hitler ate sugar!"
