A Day for Remembrance
Today is Veterans Day, Armistice Day, and Remembrance Day, depending on what part of the world you live in. They all mean the same thing, though: today we remember those who served their country and died in battle. Thank you to all veterans out there--your service means a great deal to us all.
Brother Grimace wrote a fanfic, A Special Day for the Colonel, that seems appropriate to this day. It was written as a tribute to the U. S. Marine Corps, which was formed 236 years ago yesterday.
psychotol wrote another fanfic, How Patriotic, that takes place on this holiday.
This is also the anniversary of the birth of George S. Patton, born on this day in 1885. Mack is shown on the left as the controversial general, as he salutes the brave men and women who have given their lives in service.
