One for the Kids
This being Universal Children's Day, per UNICEF, we offer a precious thought from young Daria Morgendorffer of Highland Elementary School: click here.

Um, the "x" above meant that I was supposed to add something there but forgot. I've forgotten what I had to add, so....
Hey! It's Thursday! Time to party!
Latest entry on DariaWiki: it's a surprise from Brother Grimace. Wonder what Daria is like on that world.

UNICEF . . . They're the ones that make the tires, right?
Yes. When I was a kid, I collected money for them so that we could all share in the job of seeing their blimp fly over the Super Bowl.
That's right! I remember their slogan: "Where the rabbit meats the road.."
Good thing Helen sued them. Not sure why, though.
Hmmm, just deleted spam. The spambots are getting better every year. I guess we finally have another use for the death penalty.
Just curious: was it World of Warcraft spam?
No, something for brackets. I was surprised to see it. Maybe live people are logging in instead of computers now, then spamming away.
That's what they were doing at SFMB for a while. Apparently it's a bunch of folks in China and India sitting in front of computers entering Captchas then spreading the spam.
That's gotta be one of the all-time worst jobs ever.
True that. I can see it now, the interview in the Human Resources Office: "Would you please explain this next item on your resume? Just what is Word Verification Entry for Broad Scale Internet Advertising?" "Certainly. I typed in Captchas in order to place ads for erectile dysfunction products Monday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday I did the same thing for time share sales...."
