Happy Birthday, Buddha!

In Japan, today is Buddha's Birthday, also called Hanamatsuri. The image at right is an enlarged capture of the Buddha figure that sits on a shelf behind Angela Li's desk. Is she a Buddhist? Doesn't seem likely, but one never knows. I also have an alter ego of Buddha with Upchuck's face, but (eww) that doesn't really seem appropriate, so we'll skip that. On with the Super-Update!

PPMB
  • Avalon, by legendeld (Parts 8 and 9): The war widens, but plans are being laid against Avalon, and Quinn is the key.
  • Black Knight, by MMan (fragment): A Daria/Wonderfalls crossover that . . . stopped. Damn.
  • Breed, by legendeld (Parts 1 and 2): That hickey on Sandi's neck is not just a hickey. It's . . . AHHHHH!!!
  • EarthFall, by legendeld (Episode 4, Part 2): “God, are you listening?” A few seconds of silence followed before her answer arrived. “God is listening.”
  • Eyeshield Morgendorffer, by LSauchelli (Part 1): "Maybe I could talk Helen into having a boy," said Jake Morgendorffer in "Gifted." What if he had, sort of? A wicked new take on the Darius meme.
  • It's Like the Beginning of an Era, by Kristen Bealer (Part 1): Sandi learns first-hand what it means to volunteer, in this special treat spun off from "Daria Dance Party."
  • John Lane 34: Barbeques and Gridirons, by Richard Lobinske (Part 1): Daria and John suffer a fate worse than death: a cookout at the Thompsons. With Kevin. And Brittany.
  • Lawndale’s Finest: Action Stories, by NightGoblyn (Issue One: Ace Reporter): Why is it you never see Jane Lane and Supergirl at the same time? Coincidence, I guess.
  • Legion of Lawndale Heroes - Thread II, by Brother Grimace (LLH 12.7 – Behind Blue Eyes): Nothing more than a cross between a government-funded "Animal House" and a Saturday-morning cartoon stuck out in a cornfield masquerading as a military academy.
  • A Little Vacation, by Doggieboy (Part 17): Trust, but verify. Assuming you can handle the truth, of course.
  • Mental in the Morning, by Cypher (continued): Sonofabitch! Charles thought despairingly, I’m never gonna get laid!
  • The Misery Chicks, by NightGoblyn (Part 18): "I like solutions that are simple and violent," said Daria.
  • My Sons, by legendeld (Parts 8, 9, and 10): “My pants stayed on,” Daria told her mother. I'm so sure Helen believed that.
  • The Other Side Of Time: And All That We've Won, by The Sidhe (Part 6): Custer's Last Stand apparently came early.
  • Shadows of a Timeless Song, by Dennis (continued): After all, Daria thought, how much experience do I have with seven-foot tall glowing musicians who claim to be immortal?
  • Size Does Matter, by BlackHole (Part 19): Daria and her dad go in for serious fun and games.
  • Stacy Rowe, Seeker (Part II), by jtranser (continued): "...So, you see, Daria, the Sloanes made their fortune in the slave trade, then branched out into other fields."
  • Turnabout Confusion Part II: All The King's Horses, by Dennis (continued): I will not cry, Brittany told herself. I will not cry. I will not rip Nikki's face off and eat it like that guy in the movie with the lambs. [That is such a great line.]
How weird, not a complete story in the batch. That means more to come!
