Al Roker, famed weatherman for NBC's Today show, celebrates his 56th birthday today. He was parodied briefly in the musical Daria episode, "Daria!" in which he announces the approach of a hurricane when Helen turns on the mini-TV in the kitchen. (Oddly, this is ALMOST the only time in Daria that the Morgendorffers are shown to have a TV set in the kitchen.) This was not the only time Al Roker appeared in an animated series, as the Wikipedia link reveals.My opinion only, though these sites do enjoy broad support within the fandom. Links are active if their websites were updated since September 1, 2016.

It shows them using the kitchen TV briefly in "Antisocial Climbers"; it plays a "Sick, Sad World" clip right before Helen offers to buy Daria some stuff for the school trip. :)
