No being mean to people, even if they deserve it. "Why can't we all just get along?" was a very wise thing to say, even if the guy who said it most famously wasn't always very wise. This sandbox is meant for everyone's play time.My opinion only, though these sites do enjoy broad support within the fandom. Links are active if their websites were updated since September 1, 2016.

Can we be mean to people?
One of the things that allows me to maintain my sanity is to accept that people will do whatever they want, I can't control that, so I should let it go and move on. I'd rather not moderate the comments if at all possible, that's too much work. People will do what they want anyway.
I don't know if I answered the question. Oh, well. :)
There's some twisted part of me that is curious as to what prompted this, but I have a feeling that I really don't want to know.

Nothing really prompted it, except me sitting here with a head cold thinking, what the heck am I going to write about? Just put something down and forget about it, I decided, and listed a couple things I wanted to avoid (for myself) here. There was no other precursor, thank goodness.
