A major hoard of Saxon gold and silver was recently revealed in England and TAG issued a challenge.
Okay, he asked for fanfiction, but I'm going to extend it to some old fan art I did years ago of Daria as Wealhtheow from Beowulf. Somehow though, I can't see her as the dutiful wife passing a drinking horn around a table full of warriors, but I can see her as Æthelflæd, the Lady of Mercia.
Speaking of Saxon ladies, can't you just picture Jane as her namesake, Lady Godgifu, or more commonly known, Lady Godiva? Riding naked through town would be a great piece of performance art.
